Steve’s Track Of The Week 14th – 16th July 2020

As played on the show a few moments ago, this week’s track of the week comes from Nashville based rock band Rusty Shipp. As well as new tracks, we try to feature songs that probably haven’t been heard much in the UK. This is one such example as, whilst they are well known in the Christian Music scene in the US, only a handful of people will have heard this in the UK and so this song has actually came out in the second half of last year.

Having said that, you may have heard the song before as it’s a cover version of a track by the band Audioslave from 2003 which has been given the ‘nautical rock n’ roll’ treatment (a phrase that the band use to describe their style) which combines some of the more extreme elements of hard music with more tuneful vibe of 60’s surf rock.

As usual, there are links to listen on YouTube and to download it from iTunes and Amazon below. But, don’t forget to let us know what you think too!

(N.B. Ad-Block users may need to add our site to their white-list for these to appear.)
