One of the best and worst parts of doing a radio show is listening to all the new Christmas songs each year as they come to our attention. Whilst there is a lot of mediocre stuff there’s always the chance of finding the next White Christmas, Merry Christmas Everybody or Driving Home For Christmas.

Whilst it remains to be seen whether this will be an all time classic, this song from Mayday Paradereally stood out from the various offerings that we heard this week and so makes this years Christmas Track of the Week.

Although we’ve not come across them before, the band have actually been going for nearly 15 years. They hail from Tallahassee, Florida and haven’t made a big impact yet in the UK. However, with the current Pop-Punk revival we might be hearing a lot more of them in the future.

This track is called I’m With You and as usual there are links to listen on YouTube and download it from iTunes and Amazon below. But, don’t forget to let us know what you think too!

(N.B. Ad-Block users may need to add our site to their white-list for these to appear.)

It’s Christmas! (well, at least, nearly Christmas, – depending on where you live in the world!) and Steve’s Midweek Evening Show has a festive feel to it! We have a Christmas Word On Health from 6:15pm, round up the days sport at 6:45pm and there’s a seasonal Track of The Week by Mayday Parade from 7:15pm. Business News and Entertainment Update and Planet Sport are all taking a festive break but at 8:45pm we’ll hear what happened when our very own Peter Field (aka Peter118) caught up with Dan from Rock gods, The Darkness just a few days ago!

Plus, there’s a healthy serving of Christmas music throughout the show and we’ll be hearing some though provoking features from Batman and Sir David Attenborough with their observations on the season of joy.

It all starts tonight from 6pm, repeated the same time tomorrow and Thursday on Access!

Dec 242019

From 9pm you can hear part two of Trace Taylor’s Christmas Show which includes another chance to hear the Blue Peter* Christmas plus she will be examining into the reason for the season, taking a look behind why we celebrate Christmas in the first place.

From 11pm there is a special Christmas Edition of Altern8 with Peter Field and we finish of the evening with Dance music from DJ Peter Ould in the Christmas Mega Mix.

It all kicks off tonight from 6pm repeated Christmas Day and Boxing day, here on Access!
