So apparently catchy mid-paced pop classics are not only hits at the office Christmas party, they can also save lives. This is the article Steve has been talking about on his weekend evening show that shows how singing the Macarena whilst helping a victim of cardiac arrest might help people give CPR more effectively.

What we’d like to know is those tunes that have a “special’ meaning to you. Not the tunes during the the first dance at your wedding, but things that might bring back more quirky memories. Or perhaps a song that you sing for a particular reason such as doing the washing up or when you arrive in a particular place. Let us know via our Facebook and Twitter pages and you can click here or on the screenshot below to read the full article.

Well the whole word is going crazy for one particular event going on this weekend and but spare a thought for people who have had enough of it before before it has even started. At least, during the service, you could always flip channels and watch the FA Cup instead! Of course, we’re talking about the Royal Wedding, but as Steve mentioned on his show this weekend, but despite his own “wedding fatigue” we found one piece of video that we had to share with you, This features another couple getting hitched this weekend. However both these people are in fact Jack Russell dogs.

This weeks TOTW features the Brighton based band, The Kooks. Probably still best known for their massive hit from 2006 She moves in her own way but the band have been pretty busy since then producing 4 full albums. There has been nothing since 2014 though but they have finally put fans out of their misery by announcing news of a new album.

Let’s Go Sunshine will be the band’s fifth studio album following on from 2014’s Listen. It is slated for release on August 31. The 15 track LP is described as a “moving, energising and timelessly melodic record and incisive in its portrait of modern British urban life”.Frontman Luke Pritchard said the band started with the aim of continuing the sound they set out on Listen, but soon scrapped the plans as it “wasn’t really The Kooks”. So if you want a return to more classic Kooks, this might be good news.

This track is from the album. It’s called “No Pressure”
